EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2012

After a successful EAA AirVenture Oshkosh exhibition ZLIN AIRCRAFT a.s. is flying to America

ZLIN AIRCRAFT a.s. sales representatives presented their sky-blue aerobatic boast, a ZLIN Z 242 L, this time at the international EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2012 exhibition which took place in Wisconsin (USA) from 23th to 29th July 2012.

The preparatory days of the exhibition were accompanied by unfavorable weather conditions but this could not discourage the exhibitors and especially the aircraft enthusiasts from around the world. More than 800 exhibitors from around the world attracted 508,000 visitors in total. More than 10,000 aircraft arrived; the aerial demonstrations were presented by 2,489 aircraft in total (978 home-built aircraft, 90 historical aircraft, 336 war aircraft, 105 ultralights, 97 nautical aircraft, 31 rotorcrafts and 35 aerobatic aircraft) which showed the magnitude and significance of this exhibition.

A new model ZLIN Z 242 L “GURU” equipped with the life saving AMU system, a new interior and the possibility of having a glass-cockpit Garmin G500 was offered by ZLIN AIRCRAFT a.s. company to people interested in this traditional and time proven brand.

Simultaneously, a newly certified aircraft, the ZLIN Z 143 LSi was introduced. It has the new Garmin G950 avionics with autopilot. The brand-new equipment makes the work of the pilot easier thanks to the systems integration. It connects communication, flight and engine devices into one well arranged display with GPS, VOR, DME navigation and the autopilot into a second display. The ZLIN Z 143 LSi also saw the introduction of a modified Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) enabling the monitoring of any kind of activity or observing from the air thanks to the built-in, highly efficient camera system.

Miroslav Martinek, M.Sc, the sales manager of ZLIN AIRCRAFT a.s., presented the company at the MPO, Czech Trade, exhibition which took place within EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2012 on July 25th and also gave an interview about the company to Czech American TV – http://www.catvusa.com/oshkosh2012m.wmv.

“During the exhibition we made contacts with potential customers from USA, Mexico, Colombia, Canada, and Pakistan who showed interest especially in our aerobatic special ZLIN Z 242 L “GURU”. The quality, reliability, and tradition that are ZLIN aircraft and ZLIN components, which are popular in the whole aircraft world,” It was this, that in the opinion of Miroslav Martinek, the company´s sales manager, made the exhibition a success.

The production program of our company includes not only excellent ZLIN aircraft, certified production of wheels and brakes, but also parachute parts, ejection seats, stabilizers and rudders not only for our aircraft, but also for other producers in the civil and military sector from around the world. In addition to this, it is necessary to mention the amount of cooperation works on CNC machines which is an integral part of our production program.
